November 12-16 2019

With a population of 6 million people, the Greater Philadelphia region is the largest-poorest metropolitan area in the United States. Its Philanthropic Market ranks 11th in the nation, with assets of over $6.69 billion dollars, and is home to over 10,000 nonprofits. Most strikingly, the region is home to some of the most staggering disparities in health outcomes, educational attainment, and career trajectories. However, we can do something about this; our region does not have to be this way. How do we challenge this? How do we get to the core of the issues and breakdown the barriers that our residents face? How do we breakdown silos and advocate for true inclusion and supports that further collaborative efforts? We believe that the philanthropic sector can be a catalyst and collection of voices, leaders, and agencies in our city that want to drive this change.

Beginning November 12 and continuing to November 16th, a team of local Philanthropists and Change-Makers will be hosting PHLanthropy Week or Philadelphia Philanthropy Week to find out HOW.

2019 Events

As part of PHLanthropy Week, we will be convening an inaugural cohort of nonprofits to explore best practices, implementation strategies, and relationship-building activities that will help further their impact. Our aim is two-fold: First, to support this cohort in establishing shared goals and outcomes; and second, to strengthen and centralize their shared commitment to solving some of our region’s most persistent challenges. Please join us!
