Civic Capital Principal elected UBA Allocations Chair



After joing Union Benevolent Association's Board in August of 2020, Civic Capital Consulting's Prinicipal and Founder, Monique Curry-Mims was recently elected Allocations Chair of the 190-year-old Foundation.


Founded in 1831, UBA assist the suffering poor of Philadelphia by providing direct support in the form of money, food, clothing, and medicine. After a shift in 1958, UBA became a foundation that provides general and targeted grants to nonprofit organizations that serve vulnerable populations.


As Allocations Chair, Monique will work to reinvision UBA's grant giving in an effort to support the issue of poverty alleviation through Trust-based practices.
